It was just an ordinary day, I was trying to console my sister after she realized she couldn’t go to a concert she had planned to attend. So, I decided to lift her spirits by suggesting we go on a local trip, maybe to Melbourne. And well, somehow, we ended up halfway across the world just 13 weeks later.
We had found some great deals to London and the 9-hour layover in Los Angeles was just an added bonus! And with Paris being just a train ride away from London, we knew we had to fit that in as well!
Here’s what our trip looked like:
As you guys know, I spent the first 7 days of 2017 in Fiji. While Fiji is made up of a whopping 332 Islands (wowza!) there is one main Island, Viti Levu, which is home to 70% of the population. This is the Island we stayed on, in the city of Nadi (pronounced Nan-dy). We found it to be central to everything we wanted to see, and it was very close to the airport, which is always a plus!
We explored most of Nadi, and even ventured outside of Nadi to explore some beautiful place nearby. Here’s a quick summary of the places we visited, and the things we did:
Happy Sunday lovelies!
I watched Aladdin the Broadway musical recently and it was absolutely incredible. (I’m so glad I caught it here in Sydney because I was so keen to watch it when I was in New York but tickets were sold out. Can’t even tell you how devastated I was) It was so fun to see the movie come to life on stage, it actually gave me Disney World withdrawals! I couldn’t help but be teleported back into the world of Disney, and reminisce about the time I was hanging around rides with my fave Disney characters.
I visited America in 2014 and had the pleasure of touring the country with my family. Out of ll the places that we visited, Orlando’s Walt Disney World was easily one of my favourites. It’s been 2.5 years since that trip and to this day my phone lock screen is still a picture I took of Cinderella’s Castle. It really has that effect on you!
I’ve booked in my next holiday and you can bet that I’m super excited for it! But since it’s not for another couple months, I figured I’d take the time to post about some of my last holidays, starting off with my very first vacation, to New Zealand! My sister and I spent a week in Queenstown, New Zealand in May 2013 and we had an absolute blast. It was the first international vacay I went on (visiting family totally doesn’t count) and I’ve been hooked to travelling ever since! (Scroll down for photo slideshow)
